What wineries do you reccommend?

As there are hundreds of wineries in the Hunter Valley region these days and with limited time you want to make sure you visit the best the region has to offer. For this reason you can't go past the local Mount View wineries, which include: Kelman Estate, Saddler's Creek, Savannah Estate, Mt. View Estate, Peterson's, Briar Ridge and Tallavera Grove.

They are famous for their delicious handmade wine but also for the beautiful scenery and quiet, country atmosphere. All within a 20 minute walk of the park, this makes for a great afternoon or early evening activity and best of all, you can enjoy the wine purchased with a meal in our onsite Thai Restaurant.

What winery tour do you reccommend?

The friendly fellows of Rover Coaches look after our guests with extra care and attention.

They pick up guests outside reception nearly every morning at 9.20am and drop you back at about 5pm.

So for a great stress free wine tasting day jump on the bus and pay the driver cash only.

Are there shuttle buses
available for concerts?

Yes. Rover Coaches also transport guests to and from concerts.

They leave at the front of the park at 30min intervals and return back at the completion of the concert.

Again pay the driver cash only.

Can you suggest any activities for the kids?

Yes. The Hunter Valley is no longer a couples only destination with lots on offer for families. Including Hunter Valley Gardens Story Book Garden, huge playground and picnic area, Aqua golf and shopping village. Also there is Hunter Valley Zoo, some of the animals include: Monkeys, Alligators, farm animals, emus, Kangaroo's and lots more. They have a heavy feeding schedule and times are available from reception.

For the older ones there's plenty of golf and horse riding too plus helicopter, Hot air balloon rides and sky diving. Also don't forget about our huge resort style pool, spa and kids fountain. And our new jumping pillow playground will hopefully be completed by September 2011,so check the web site then for new pics.
